Christine Harris has represented Kelsey & Eden Park ward since December 2018, being elected in a by-election. She set up her own Accountancy business at home working around family commitments. She has always been hugely involved in the local community including 17 years as a Parent Governor and Officer of various PTA committees.

Christine chaired her local Residents Association for 16 years, where she was involved dealing with local planning issues. Christine stepped down as Chair in May 2021 after becoming Vice-Chair the Council's Plan 1 Sub-Committee, however, Christine remains on the Associations Management committee. Christine is also a member of the Friends of Kelsey Park and the Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground and regularly attends their committee meetings as well as supporting the events these groups organise across the community.  

Christine is also a senior member of the Beckenham Conservative Association. She was elected as Deputy Chairman of the Association in June 2021, having previously served as an Association Officer from 2018-2021 and Deputy Chairman for the first time between 2015 and 2018. Christine is Treasurer of Kelsey & Eden Park Conservative Branch as well as Treasurer and Organiser of the President's Club. 

Christine came to London from Scotland to work in Chartered Accountancy. In her Accountancy position she became Group Chief Accountant in the Sunley Turriff Group , where she stayed for 10 years. She believes that the Conservatives are the only party which can effectively provide a safe, secure environment and an economically sound country.

Council Investing £2.6 Million In Kelsey Park Works

Councillors in Beckenham have welcomed a decision by Conservative-run Bromley Council to invest £2,567,000 in improving the very popular Kelsey Park. The money will be used to replace one of the wooden footbridges and to desilt the lake in the park. The news comes as the Council also launched a new page on its website to make it easier for users of the park to keep updated on the progress made with replacing footbridge.

Kelsey & Eden Park Ward Councillor, Christine Harris, has welcomed the return of the Bowie Beckenham Oddity event at Croydon Road Recreation Ground. The event, which raises funds towards the upkeep of the Grade II listed bandstand used by David Bowie in 1969, returned on Saturday 14th August nearly two years after the last event.
