Some of you will recall the group known as the Friends of Harvington (FoH). Even though several years of inactivity have passed, Cllr Harris eventually managed to find a group of volunteers in 2023 and the Friends of Harvington was resurrected.

They have been extremely busy organising Christmas Fairs, planting wildflowers, regular litter pickings, maintaining the River Beck and its riverbank and installing bird boxes, to name but a few!

Cllr Harris is working hard to source private funding to renovate the pavilion.

The Friends would love to have toilet facilities and a community space to support local residents with loneliness/dementia, and other mental health problems.

However much time you have to spare, volunteers are always welcome.
