Membership Of BCA And How To Join

Beckenham & Penge Conservative Association is a voluntary organisation run entirely by local people. Our principle objective is to promote the Conservative cause and to secure the election of Conservative candidates to Parliament, the Greater London Assembly and Mayor and the London Borough of Bromley. Members’ subscriptions and fundraising events are used entirely to this end.

Full Members

Full Membership of the Conservative Party is £39 per person a year (£10 if under 26, £25 for former and serving members of the Armed Forces).

Full membership entitles you to participate in all decisions taken by the Party at national, regional and local level. These include the postal ballot for the election of the Leader of the Conservative Party, the selection of Parliamentary, Borough Council, GLA and London Mayor Candidates and, at the AGM of the Beckenham & Penge Association, the Chairman and other officers.

  • Membership also brings the right to apply to be nominated as a candidate for Parliament, the GLA or London Borough of Bromley as an official Conservative candidate.
  • Details of all events run by the Beckenham Conservative Association and priority booking.

Want to get more involved?

Most of our members merely pay a subscription, however we welcome members who would like to get more involved.

Campaigning

  • Before and during elections we call door to door to find out how local people intend to vote. On Polling Day we call to remind those who have said they will vote Conservative that it is Election Day.
  • We campaign on local and national issues.
  • We deliver, twice a year, our In Touch newsletter, to every home in the Beckenham constituency. Each ward has its own edition packed with local news. Why not deliver your road? Good, healthy exercise which keeps you young!

If you would like to help us please go to the  Contact  page of this website.

You can help us at the branch or constituency level

Whatever your skills or professional background -  IT, administration, entertainment and cooking - there is a job you can do!

Helping to run your local ward branch

Each ward has a branch committee which organises  social functions, the delivery of leaflets and runs elections and campaigns at a local level.

Helping at the constituency level

This could involve clerical and adminstration work, data inputting and organising constituency wide events.
