Beckenham Town & Copers Cope ward

Member of Parliament for Beckenham Bob Stewart and Councillors from across the constituency are calling on Southeastern Railways to reverse the decision to remove services to Cannon Street from the Hayes (Mid-Kent) line from the 11th December 2022.

Beckenham MP Bob Stewart has written to the Secretary of State for Transport to ask that the Transport for London (TfL) fares increases be calculated on the same model as the national rail fares.

An audacious planning application to build 95 homes on the Segas Sports Ground’s protected playing fields has been unanimously refused by Bromley Council following a speech by Conservative Councillor Michael Tickner on behalf of objecting residents.

Beckenham Member of Parliament, Bob Stewart, is campaigning to have the Bakerloo line extended to Beckenham Junction claiming the move would bring new investment and jobs to the town as well boosting capacity on at the busy station.

Previously notorious High Street shop “210” now known as Dough Artisan Bakehouse has applied to Bromley Council for a licence to sell alcohol for consumption both on the premises and to take away. The applicant from Essex also wants permission to show films, put on live amplified performances, and play recorded music both inside and outside the building.

Bromley Council has promised residents that it will plant 5000 new trees across the Borough over the next few years.

Network Rail have confirmed to Bromley Council that previously announced plans to change rail services on the Hayes line from heading into Victoria instead of Cannon Street were dropped as part of the operator change in October 2021.
