Chris Phillips

Chris is a conservation architect and is chair of the Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground. He has a special interest in improving the quality of the built environment and parks. Chris and his family have lived in Beckenham since 2000, and his children have attended local schools including Marian Vian primary school. 

Chris has previously been a senior Councillor and Cabinet member for Social Care, Health and Housing in Bromley, achieving the highest three-star rating. Chris enjoys the outdoors and managing his allotment. He is keen to work with anyone who has the best interests of Beckenham at heart and attends St George’s Church in Beckenham. Chris believes our top priority should be helping young people to achieve their best, and he chairs political debating and discussion groups which are the drivers of the democratic process.
