Local Conservatives in Beckenham are campaigning to make our rail network more accessible. It was Conservative Councillors who were pivotal in securing the new lifts at Shortlands station, and London Assembly Member Thomas Turrell is using his seat on the City Hall Transport Committee to push for more accessible transport.
In Beckenham, two local railway stations are not accessible for local commuters. That is why the Conservative Action Team for Clock House; Sarah Phillips, Scott Pattenden and Christopher Watts are campaigning for action. They are running a petition calling for Kent House and Clock House stations to be given funding from the Access for All programme to make these station accessible.

We the undersign call on the Government to give Access for all funding for Clock House and Kent House stations.
The Access for All is Government funding to Network Rail to improve accessibility on our rail network. Kent House and Clock House are two of the most inaccessible stations for disabled and elderly rail passengers in the borough.
Kent House station particularly is used to terminate trains early when there is disruption on the line. Clock House station is only accessible in one direction.
Rail passengers in Beckenham deserve to be able to travel independently. These stations urgently need modernisation through the Access for All funding.
