2026 Conservative Candidate for Clock House
  • Council candidates

Christopher Watts, candidate in Clockhouse, has lived in the ward for 10 years. He has a law degree from the University of London and works in the business media industry, filling a variety of roles across a 30 year career, latterly as journalist/presenter of a banking and finance YouTube channel. He also holds a private pilot's licence flying light aircraft. He is a Committee member of Penge Forum, the de facto Penge residents association, and well acquainted with local issues such as the redevelopment of Blenheim Centre, Penge. He has been a member of the Conservative Party for 25 years.

Passionate about local services, especially maintenance of parks, roads and amenities like libraries and swimming pools, Christopher opposes Low Traffic Neighbourhoods as much for their inconvenience to residents (witnessed by the LTN imposed in West Dulwich by Labour-controlled Lambeth Council) as for the resulting congestion from channeling of traffic on to local thoroughfares. As a councillor, he will work to keep Bromley LTN-free.

Christopher believes that high streets should be the focal point of communities. As a councillor he will work to encourage use of high street premises by local trades. He also believes in a strong police presence across the borough, opposing the trend towards closure of police stations
