Mike Tickner has expressed his disappointment in Barclays Bank decision to close their Beckenham Branch on the 14th June 2023. Lloyds is closing permanently on the 20th April.
In recent years a number of banks have closed their branches in the town, with Halifax, Santander and HSBC all shutting branches. Only Natwest and Nationwide Building Society remain.
Mike said:
“While many banking features are now able to be done online many customers still want to be able to visit a physical branch and I am concerned that this is becoming harder. I’m disappointed that Barclays and Lloyds are leaving Beckenham and will be working with colleagues to see what steps can be taken to ensure we don’t lose all our banks in Beckenham”.
